Public virtual elementary school programs are now hosted in Florida school districts. These programs are part of the state mandated public school virtual instructional legislation of 2008. Prior to enrolling for the programs, careful consideration must be given to the choice of virtual education for each child and family. Therefore, the parent or guardian must carefully review the program, then attend an orientation session prior to enrolling in one of the state Virtual Instruction Programs (VIP) sponsored in Palm Beach. Parents will bring the New and Returning Student Registration, the Transfer Records Requests and two proofs of Palm Beach County residence to the orientation session. Following the orientation, parents will register and select courses online. We look forward to assisting you in the pursuit of virtual education opportunities through The School District of Palm Beach County. K12, Florida LLC is fully accredited by both The Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA), and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI).
K12 conducts a variety of events for prospective families and students to learn more about this innovative education program. These opportunities include both face-to-face events and virtual events. Check the K12 web site for dates. |
